Dubai Police and INDEX sign an agreement to organize the Emirates International Forensic Science Conference and Exhibition

Dubai - MENA Herald: H.E. Major General Khamis Mattar Al-Mazeina, Commander in Chief of Dubai Police, and Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Chairman of INDEX Holding, signed an agreement earlier today at the head quarters of Dubai Police to organize the Emirates International Forensic Science Conference and Exhibition that will be held in April 2017 at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre.

H.E. Major General Khamis Mattar Al-Mazeina stated that the Emirates International Forensic Science Conference and Exhibition provides a global platform that attracts top-notch forensic experts from different countries. Those experts will convene to exchange their experiences and transfer their knowledge in this domain for the benefit of police work, public prosecutors, and judicial sector.

H.E. assured that the conference and exhibition will be an opportunity to raise the awareness level about Forensic Science and Criminology in the region. The event aims to bring together experts from Asia, Africa, Europe and the American continent, under a single platform to support the development in the forensic science. This will happen through the submitted research and scientific papers that will be discussed during the conference, and through the participating companies in the exhibition, who will put on display the latest equipment and solutions in the field of Forensic Science and Criminology.

H.E. expressed his pleasure that the conference will positively influence the participating developed countries, by granting them access to the latest scientific materials, and informing them about the latest specializations in criminal science and criminology. H.E. also noted that through the partnership with INDEX, the conference will support the UAE government initiatives in the field of innovation and creativity, adding that the event will have awards meant for global figures to be selected and nominated.

Internally,
H.E. Major General Khamis Mattar Al-Mazeina added that the conference and exhibition will strengthen the mutual work in the field of forensic science and criminology on the national level. This will happen through the scientific participations of the Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Interior, Public Prosecutions and courts. The event will also update the university students on the latest research and relevant technologies and will help create an opportunity for them to participate actively and gain experience.

The Scientific Council,
H.E expressed his delight that the Emirates International Forensic Science Conference and Exhibition will seek to form a global scientific council that bring together world-renowned experts in this field, in addition to the formation of local scientific committee, which will support the work of forensics and criminology on the national level.

From his side, Dr. Abdul Salam Al Madani, Chairman of INDEX Holding was delighted about the agreement of cooperation signed between INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions – member of INDEX Holding and Dubai Police, where he said: "This is not the first time that we sign an agreement with Dubai Police, which highlights the trust given by Dubai Police to our national company. Dubai is now taking a leading role in hosting high profile and prestigious events that witness a great support from the governmental authorities. INDEX organizes more than 25 local and international conferences & exhibitions yearly and this event will be an important addition to our portfolio of events being held in cooperation with Dubai Police. ”
