Dubai – MENA Herald: Emirates Islamic, one of the leading Islamic financial institutions in the UAE, today announced that it has contributed AED 200,000 from its Kheirat account to The Big Heart Foundation.
The Big Heart Foundation was launched in response to the global refugee crisis, with the aim of providing urgent relief and sustainable support to refugee children and their families. The Foundation was set up by United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees Eminent Advocate for Refugee Children Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, two years after the launch of the Big Heart Campaign that helped to clothe, educate and provide shelter to thousands of children.
Awatif Al Harmoodi, General Manager, Operational Quality & Processes, Emirates Islamic, presented a cheque to HE Salha Ghabish, Director General of the Cultural Office of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah.
