ENOC recognises and honours high achieving employees at ENOC Awards 2016

Dubai - MENA Herald: Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) recognised high achievers within the organisation based on recommendations made by colleagues and chosen by the Group CEO for having gone beyond the call of duty and exceeding expectations at work which had a significant impact on business productivity.

H.E. Al Falasi said, “One of the key themes of Dubai’s vision for 2021 is to create a ‘City of Happy, Creative & Empowered People’. ENOC has always considered its people as the primary reason for its success, if we are to indeed create a city of happy people; we need to have happy employees. The ENOC Awards programme recognizes and honours employees for their innovative approaches to increasing business productivity, strategies that have been crucial to sustaining and growing our business during critical times.”

He continued: “ENOC has seen many milestones in the last year, and this success is led by the dedication of our employees, who have demonstrated continuous excellence in their performance. This award not only captures innovative and creative ideas, but also recognises teamwork, personal accountability and responsibility. These values are central to ENOC’s business philosophy and are propelling our growth.

The awards also honoured long-serving employees who have been in ENOC for more than 15 years.

Employees were assessed on five criteria across Performance & Achievement, Initiative, Co-operation with Others, Involvement & Responsibility and Supervisory Skills. Staff had to provide evidence of how they made an outstanding contribution in their area of work, how they overcame obstacles and the significant impact their contribution had on the business across productivity improvement, revenue generation, cost saving, quality improvement and enhanced customer satisfaction over and above their regular work.

A category for the ‘Unknown Soldier’ was also awarded to Safiullah Shareef, EPPCO Distribution’s Office Assistant, for continuously helping colleagues in accomplishing their daily tasks by working behind the scenes.

A total of 4 staff were recognised for their contributions while 119 employees were honoured for their long service to the organisation.
