NEW HONEYWELL ROUTER TECHNOLOGIES MAXIMIZE IN-FLIGHT CONNECTIVITY FOR BUSINESS JETS

Dubai - MENA Herald: Honeywell (NYSE: HON) is maximizing in-flight connectivity capabilities for business jet operators and passengers with its new CNX-900 Cabin Network Router and software upgrade for the widely installed CNX-200 Cabin Network Router. Both routers are supported by Honeywell’s latest GoDirect routing software, which maximizes available onboard Wi-Fi bandwidth and enables a reliable in-flight wireless connection to provide efficiency and cost savings for business jet operators.
The CNX-900 Cabin Network Router is an upgrade for obsolete routers delivering on next-generation network needs. The new technology offers pilots and operators advanced features such as enhanced security and better bandwidth optimization. As a result, the CNX-900 provides the latest Wi-Fi technology that allow passengers to download large files, stream videos, link to a virtual private network, and connect more devices to the internet.
The CNX-200 Cabin Network Router is a very popular cabin gateway unit in the market today — with over 2,000 installations. The CNX-200 provides all necessary cabin network functions with a power source and a web-based interface. A simple software upgrade, which will remove the end-of-life status of the system and provide the latest GoDirect Cabin Connectivity features, will be available via a service bulletin by the end of 2016. The upgrade program saves costs and provides more information and control for business jet operators.
