Ras Al Khaimah – MENA Herald: Ras Al Khaimah Free Trade Zone (RAK FTZ) has successfully participated in two of the major business conferences in Russia, Intax Expo 2016 and CIS Wealth 2016. With hundreds of business delegates representing various industries, the events served as great platforms to generate awareness about the investment opportunities available in Ras Al Khaimah (RAK), particularly RAK FTZ, one of the fastest-growing free zones in the Middle East region.
On 6 to 7 June 2016, RAK FTZ attended the Intax Expo in Lotte Hotel, Moscow and then headed to Ekaterinburg on 9 June 2016 to participate at the CIS Wealth Conference in Hyatt Regency Hotel.
“We are glad to have been a major sponsor of these business conferences as they opened up doors for us to connect with potential Russian investors as well as partners who can help us promote the investment opportunities in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Ras Al Khaimah (RAK),” said Tomas Csobonyei, RAK FTZ’s Business Development Director. “We received tremendous feedback from the Russian business community and they were happy to know that RAK FTZ brings the most diversified portfolio of investments for them. RAK FTZ offers 100 per cent company ownership, freedom from taxation and customs duty, and tailor-made business solutions for up to 50 per cent lower than elsewhere in the region. Whether they are planning to establish a manufacturing base or a sales office, we can support them in achieving their business’ full potential and at the same time, help them realise a higher return on investment.”
Mr Csobonyei highlighted the immense business advantages offered by RAK FTZ’s stable investment environment during a presentation that he conducted at both events. The free zone also had a stand where Russian investors gained insights from RAK FTZ’s Business Development professionals on how to successfully enter the world’s fast-growing economies.
Furthermore, RAK FTZ’s team met with the members of various Russian organisations and discussed possible trade cooperation. Among them are the Moscow Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Ministry of International & Foreign Economic Relations – Sverdlovsk Region, Ministry of Investment and Development of the Sverdlovsk Region, and the Ural Chamber of Commerce.
