Sultan bin Sulayem: 4th Generation of the Government Excellence System outlines the roadmap to UAE Vision 2021 and Dubai Plan 2021

Dubai - MENA Herald: The Chairman and CEO of DP World and Chairman of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem has affirmed that the 4th Generation of the Government Excellence System, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, outlines the roadmap towards achieving the UAE Vision 2021 and Dubai Plan 2021.
HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid directed all government departments in Dubai to immediately implement the 4th Generation of the Government Excellence System.
Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem underscored that Dubai Customs is well set to implement the new system. The fourth Generation of the Government Excellence System will upgrade the system of government work based on an innovative basis and standards based on the excellence in government performance and services in three main areas: achievement of the vision, innovation and enablers to attain the highest satisfaction rates and people's satisfaction.
He noted that Dubai Customs has taken great strides to put the system into implementation. In addition to taking part in the 4th Generation of Government Excellence System seminar, and organizing a workshop for employees, core work teams and supporting teams are being formed to carry out benchmarks with other government entities in this regard.
Dubai Customs, in cooperation with the Dubai Government Excellence Program (DGEP), recently organized at its headquarters a workshop on the implementation mechanism of the 4th Generation of the Government Excellence System.
With the aim of getting familiarized to the newly-amended DGEP categories that have been adjusted to fit in with the 4th Generation of the Government Excellence System, the workshop was attended by Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director of Dubai Customs, and DC staff. Dr. Ahmed Nusairat, Coordinator General of DGEP was also present at the workshop, which highlighted in practical steps how the new system should be implemented and the role everyone should play in this area.
The Director of Dubai Customs Ahmed Mahboob Musabih said, “The 4th Generation of Government Excellence System is geared towards improving the government performance to keep pace with the trend in the UAE to deliver 7-star government services that optimize customers happiness.
“We have started the implementation of the 4th Generation of the Government Excellence System through a number of initiatives, workshops and seminars,” said Ahmed Mahboob Musabih.
On his part, Dr. Ahmed Nusairat, Coordinator General, DGEP Secretariat General, lauded Dubai Customs for its prompt action in implementing the new system.
He further stressed that soon after the announcement of the 4th Generation of Government Excellence System, the DGEP team started taking necessary steps for the implementation of the system, as the government entities will be assessed for their pursuit of highest standards of quality and sustainability of excellence in the upcoming edition of the program.
