Dubai - MENA Herald: Following the launch of the Dubai-based online travel platform tajawal in January 2016, tajawal has now released its hotel booking engine along with its highly successful flight booking services, making it a full-scale online travel agency offering seamless travel planning experiences.
Backed by Saudi Arabia’s Al Tayyar Travel Group, one of the largest travel and tourism conglomerates in the region and a public joint stock company listed in Saudi Stock Exchange TADAWUL, tajawal launched its operations in January 2016 and achieved an annual run-rate of USD 60 million by May, exceeding its projected sales targets by 30 per cent within the first five months of operation.
Now with flight and hotel bookings on offer, tajawal’s customers can travel to almost 15,000 destinations around the world while choosing from an extensive mix of more than 160,000 hotels, ranging from budget and value hotels to five-star and luxury properties and resorts.
“We have seen phenomenal growth in our business since we launched and this was driven solely by our flight booking product. Customers love the dual language functionality of our design, our user-friendly navigation as well as our committed customer happiness team. Adding hotel bookings to our service portfolio was a natural step forward – one that is perfectly in line with our greater vision to become the online travel platform of choice, while maintaining the high quality standards we have brought to the Middle East and North African region,” said Muhammad Chbib, Founder and CEO, tajawal.
Featuring round-the-clock customer service support in English and Arabic, tajawal’s hotel booking service will also offer customers enhanced flexibility, with the ‘Pay Now’ or ‘Pay Later’ and free cancellation options on most rooms. When making travel plans, users will also benefit from the ‘Customer Ratings and Reviews’ feature, complementing tajawal’s robust travel product offerings.
Being a startup that is founded and deeply rooted in the region, with a view to cater to the growing demand for regional staycations, tajawal will also offer competitive deals on local and regional hotels to meet the needs of customers looking to take a break in destinations closer to home.
