Dubai -MENA Herald: ENOC announced ambitious plans to build 10 new service stations in 2017, as part of its 2020 expansion programme to increase its retail network capacity by 40 per cent.

The Group’s plans for this year commenced with the opening of its new Warsan service station, to serve the community in the emirate’s Eastern region. Other planned locations include, Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Barsha South, Hessa Street, Sheikh Rashid Road,Bab Al Shams. Hatta, Jumeirah Village, Al Lehbab Road, and Academic City Road. The Group also plans to open 54 new service stations across the UAE, by the end of the decade.

Located on the Dubai Hatta Road, the Warsan service station’s strategic location leads to Emirates Road (E611), serving commuters and motorists traveling to and from Northern Emirates, Abu Dhabi and Al Ain.

His Excellency Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO of ENOC, said: “The growing demand for service stations is directly linked to the country’s rapid population growth, which presents an opportunity for us to contribute to expanding the UAE’s infrastructural capabilities. While the UAE is gearing up for the Expo 2020, we are committed to aligning our strategy to meet the energy needs of the country.”

“The Warsan service station on Hatta Road will also cater to the push for eco-tourism; which will drive greater numbers to the emirate’s inland exclave.” Al Falasi added.

The decision to expand to Hatta Road is also aligned with the direction of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to enhance the social and economic capabilities of Hatta, and to boost its attractiveness as a tourism destination, particularly as a first-class eco-tourism destination in the region.

The new station offers ENOC customers several unique services which will ease their refuelling experience. Eight double pump dispensers with long hoses on site will enable refuelling from both sides of the vehicles to reduce waiting period in the station. The station is also equipped with a dedicated high-flow diesel dispenser for heavy vehicles.
“This service station will not only enhance our customers’ experience, but will also ensure the implementation of international health and safety standards.”

The entrance and exit to the station is designed to implement the Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) guidelines for safe manoeuvring of vehicles, and reduce traffic on the exit road, thus easing congestion within the station. To ensure safety on site, ENOC has equipped the Warsan station with full CCTV surveillance which can automatically detect number plates.

Built in line with the Dubai Municipality’s Green Build regulations, the Warsan service station features several energy saving technologies; such as full LED lights which reduce energy consumption by 50 per cent. The station also uses the Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) technology for the air conditioning (AC) system, which saves 35 per cent of energy as compared to the conventional AC system.

Motorists visiting the service station will be able to access ENOC’s retail facilities at the station, which include the 1,500 square feet ZOOM convenience store; offering over 7,500 products; Pronto and enjoy a variety of F&B offerings at Burger King, Popeyes Chicken, amongst others. Motorists can also enjoy a 50 per cent discount from AutoPro on service charges until June 30, 2017,

ENOC’s service stations growth plans also compliment the Group’s long-term strategic objectives which are aligned with the Dubai Plan 2021 of creating a ‘Smart & Sustainable City’.
