MD & CEO of DEWA receives Siemens delegation

HE Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, MD & CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA), received a high-level delegation from Germen company Siemens, at DEWA’s main office.

The delegation included Dietmar Siersdorfer, CEO of Siemens Middle East and CEO of Siemens LLC United Arab Emirates; Dr Roland Busch, Member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG; and Basim Akkawi, Corporate Account Manager at Siemens. Al Tayer welcomed the delegation, stressing the importance of enhancing cooperation between DEWA and Siemens.

During the meeting, Al Tayer highlighted DEWA’s most important current and future projects and initiatives to enhance the generation, transmission, and distribution of energy services, and provide water and electricity services according to the highest international standards.

Siemens has been a strategic partner to DEWA for over 30 years, and has contributed to finding solutions for power production and generation across a number of projects. The visiting delegation highlighted their latest solutions and technologies in energy production, to keep pace with rapid development, and the increasing demand for energy efficiency, while adopting techniques such as producing energy from fossil fuels using gas turbines, and producing electricity from renewable energy sources.

The Siemens delegation showed interest in contributing to DEWA’s projects and initiatives, and exchanging best practices. The delegation thanked Al Tayer for his hospitality, and for highlighting DEWA’s innovative projects and initiatives.
