Veolia & OGE announce MOU signing to build own and operate a hazardous waste landfill, recycling and incineration plant in Jubail Industrial City.

Riyadh - MENA Herald: The agreement signed between Veolia and OGE on June 1st, 2016 which includes industrial and medical waste collection and treatment services will reach a total investment of 100 million USD.

The preliminary licenses to develop the facilities have already been obtained by OGE and the construction is expected to start by Q1 2017.

This announcement marks the commitment of Veolia to supporting the sustainable development of the industry in Saudi Arabia. Veolia will bring its international knowledge and unchallenged expertise with more than 600 waste processing facilities and 229 hazardous waste facilities in operation worldwide.

Veolia will operate the integrated hazardous waste treatment plant that will serve Jubail, the largest industrial city in the Middle East. Veolia expertise in this area will support the Royal Commission for Jubail & Yanbu to comply with their regulations, standards and guidelines to control substances emitted, discharged, and deposited within the industrial cities.
