Abu Dhabi - MENA Herald: The eighth edition of International Real Estate & Investment Show (IREIS 2016), the only dedicated real estate event in Abu Dhabi that targets investors and consumers rather than trade visitors, will spotlight investment opportunities in key regional and global real estate markets, event organisers DOME Exhibitions announced today.
Running from 27 - 29 October, 2016 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), IREIS 2016 will feature dedicated country pavilions of Spain, Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan, India and Philippines, providing potential investors as well expatriates living in the UAE with up-to-date country-specific information on business climate and investment opportunities.
The upcoming edition is expected to draw the participation of more than 125 exhibitors from 25 countries, as well as over 11,000 investors, end-users, developers, real estate brokers and private and institutional investors.
As part of the event agenda, IREIS will host an International Developer Agent Meet, an intensive day of carefully coordinated one-to-one meetings and informal networking sessions to showcase international property projects and facilitate partnerships between foreign property suppliers and local agents in Middle East market. IREIS 2016 will additionally feature country-specific presentations, business networking and investor meetings, among others.
Furthermore, the event will host an international conference headlined by industry leaders and relevant government officials to debate and discuss topical industry trends, upcoming opportunities, new laws, investment strategies and much more. Eminent thought leaders will deliver insights on market trends to ensure visitors are empowered enough to make informed investment decisions.
Antoine Georges, Managing Director, DOME Exhibitions, said: “Over the years, IREIS has emerged as the emirate’s most important event in the property sector - showcasing a diversified mix of local and international property investment opportunities from across the globe. The 2016 edition of IREIS will serve as a window to investment opportunities and highlight the future direction of the real estate industry in the region. In gathering potential buyers, sellers, investors and consultants under one roof, we seek to spotlight the challenges and potential the market holds, while providing all stakeholders in the industry with a networking platform to identify new synergies.”
Serving as a unique platform to showcase latest investment opportunities in the real estate sector across the Middle East, Europe and the Asia Pacific regions, IREIS 2016 will also provide participants with an important opportunity to track up-to-date market trends in international real estate markets. Towards this priority, IREIS 2016 will feature dedicated country pavilions of Spain, Turkey, Egypt, Pakistan, India and Philippines.
The Spain pavilion will showcase leading properties from Spain under one roof, offering investors an opportunity to explore various investment opportunities in the Spanish real estate market that offers rental yield of 7.53%, one of the highest in the world
The Turkey pavilion, on the other hand, will highlight key investment opportunities in the Turkish property sector where prices of luxury properties witnessed a 9.7 % surge in 2014 compared to major metropolitans across the world, according to JLL, a leading real estate investment and advisory firm.
From the Middle East, the Egypt pavilion is set to be the most exciting one as it will offer access to leading properties from the fast growing Egyptian realty sector that has remained one of the safest and most desirable investment for high net worth Middle Eastern buyers and investors.
The Pakistan pavilion will serve as a valuable business platform for leading developers and real estate agents from Pakistan’s real estate sector to meet with potential investors and buyers and close deals.
Targeting more than 1,000 high net worth Philippine investors and over 8,000 high net worth UAE investors, the Philippines country pavilion will feature project presentations, business network meetings and investor meets.
The Indian pavilion will bring under its roof many leading properties from India, highlighting an exciting array of investment opportunities from various parts of India.
This year’s event assumes added significance following the introduction of a new law regulating the real estate sector in the emirate of Abu Dhabi that came into effect in January 2016. Aimed at protecting the rights of both developers and buyers of real estate units in the emirate through ensuring increased clarity and transparency in real estate transactions, the law serves as a catalyst for the sector’s sustainable growth to meet the surging demand for quality housing units. The new law has helped the property prices maintain an upward trend for both residential and commercial units.
Drawing the participation of 84 exhibitors from 21 countries and 7327 investors from 71 nationalities, IREIS 2015 created sales volume of over US$125 million.
